EGGSHELLS – THE NEW OIL?

From Waste to Gold – How a Port Harcourt Entrepreneur is recycling eggshells into gold.

The city of Port Harcourt has been clouded with the stench of violence over the years, this has made it almost impossible for good news to hit the city waves. However, as a Port Harcourt girl and blogger who is very interested in the progress of young entrepreneurs in the city, I bestow on myself the responsibility to always blow the trumpet of budding entrepreneurs in my city.
It is with bubbling joy that I introduce to you Ogochukwu Maduako, the CEO of IFarm(ingenious farm).

IFarm is an agricultural company which prides itself in the recycling of agricultural waste to solve problems, the repurposing of detritus of eggshells, and the production of safety farm kit.

IFarm Group recently launched their new product to the open market called IScour.

IScour is a natural scouring powder made from eggshells and it can be used to clean dirty pots, sinks, jewellery, bathtub, toilet seats, etc.
It could take them from dirty to sparkling new with just a scrub.

Recycling and Upcycling is the new oil and I’m glad that a young entrepreneur from this beautiful city has produced something so magnificent. The packaging and branding of IScour also add to its appeal.

The company has previously launched its ICal and ISafe brand.

The ICal brand is made up of calcium supplements in powdered and liquid form. These are calcium supplements used for livestock and crops.

The ISafe brand consists of safety farmers kit that consists of items like safety boot, farmers hat, raincoat, hand gloves, nose mask, earmuffs/plug, and a first aid box.

It is awe-inspiring that although IFarm was found in 2017, the owner has already bagged an award by ‘The Entrepreneurs Africa’ as The Young Entrepreneur of the Year(2018).

An Interview with the CEO of IFarm will be up on the blog very soon, watch this space.
